Hello Fellow introverts

Meet the blogger

I’m Ken!

I am 26 years old and was born and raised in Massachusetts. I am a book lover, a gamer and Disney lover (I know, I know I am a Disney Adult). I have a cute fur baby named Arya who I rescued with My boyfriend.

I have two Bachelor’s degrees. One in Psychology and the other in Sociology. I now work in a school alongside a therapist to help support children and give them the tools to help with their social and emotional skills. My goal has always been to work in a school to help support children in reaching their goals.

My whole life I have struggled with my mental health. I want share my personal experiences of dealing with my disorders in hopes of helping others who are experiencing the same. If I can help even just one person I know I’ll be making a difference.

Your Mental Health is Extremely Important

Struggling with mental health is extremely draining. Through my experience I feel there are so many ways to feel more confident in battling anxiety or other mental health hardships. Here are some ideas.

Connecting with others who may be experiencing/ feeling the same way you do. Join a club, after school program, connect with others on social media are ways to stay connected in the community.

Having a support system is huge when it comes to mental health. Having supportive friends, family, co-workers or partners helps immensely. Some may not have support from family or friends. As hard as it is, pushing yourself to connect with others online or in person will give a sense of belonging and support.

Self care is so important. It can be very hard at times to even get out of bed in the morning, but that’s the first step. Self care can be as simple as buying yourself a coffee, doing a skin care routine, book a message, or anything that makes you feel good!

Your biggest motivation is yourself. The only person that can push you towards a healthier state of mind is yourself. I know what you’re thinking, “easier said than done”. And, yes I agree completely. At my lowest it is so hard to get back up again and push myself, but once you do it feels great.
